The Dandemutande Listserve strives to keep you informed about events, people, and publications related to Zimbabwean music.

Now you can customize your Dandemutande email subscription to match your interests. Use the customization form to specify which categories and topics of message you want to receive and which geographical regions you're interested in.

The problem with most listserves is that they bring us a variety of messages, some of which interest us and some of which don't. No one likes getting email that's irrelevant to them. By moderating the Dandemutande list myself, I've been able to keep the content pretty focussed, but with one common data stream it's been impossible to please everyone all the time, and I've had to reject messages that some subscribers may have found interesting. Now each individual can effectively tailor their own Dandemutande list.

When I receive a message posted to the list, I'll decide which categories it fits into and then email it to only those people who have requested those categories.

To make sure you're not missing interesting messages that fall outside the categories you've chosen, you can request "Indices" and periodically you'll receive a list of message titles that have been issued since the last index.
