ZIMBABWE - WHOSE DEVELOPMENT?

This year's BZS Research Day will focus on development policy and practice in Zimbabwe today. What does 'development' mean in the current economic, social and political climate? Are the objectives, concepts and assumptions underlying development programmes being questioned? All are welcome to attend this annual event, which brings researchers together with others interested and concerned about Zimbabwe.

Topics: Health; Land, Workers and Development; Sustainable land use; Development Strategies; Natural Resources Management.

Special guest: ZEPHANIAH PHIRI, founder of the Zvishavane Water Project and subject of the book, The Water Harvester Also EDDIE CROSS, Secretary for Economic Affairs, MDC, will be chairing the session on Land, Workers and Development.
