Anzanga Marimba Ensemble
One of the foremost marimba ensembles in North America, Seattle’s Anzanga performs traditional and original compositions for marimba, hosho, mbira, and voice. The excitement and energy of the ensemble’s live performances come across strongly in these tracks, most of them from the Shona musical tradition as arranged by Anzanga’s musical director Sheree Seretse.
